The Story behind AURA Cosmetics
AURA did not start as a business idea.
It started during a trip to Vietnam. As we traveled through small streets, local villages, and tropical landscapes, one thing kept appearing everywhere: coconut. Not in a trendy way, not as marketing but simply as part of everyday life.
People used it naturally. In their hair, in their homes, in cooking, in wellness rituals. Coconut was everywhere, and nothing about it felt forced. It was simple, authentic, and deeply connected to the culture.
As we spent more time there, we visited local farms and small producers where coconut oil and cream were still made through traditional methods. We watched the process closely : the coconuts, the extraction, the textures, the care behind every step. What stayed with us most was how natural everything felt. Nothing excessive. Nothing artificial.
We learned how coconut oil had been used for generations to help keep hair soft, nourished, and healthy-looking, especially in humid tropical climates. Women used it as part of their routine long before modern beauty trends turned it into a product.
The experience stayed in our minds even after returning home.
We kept thinking about how beauty today often feels overcomplicated; too many ingredients, too many promises, too much noise. But in Vietnam, the approach felt different. Simpler. More honest.
That is where AURA began. We wanted to create something inspired by those moments and those traditions; something that feel effortless, natural, and pleasant to use every day. Not based on trends, but inspired by real experiences and real rituals we discovered during the journey.
AURA is more than hair care to us.
It is a reminder that sometimes the best rituals are the simplest ones.
